The Lessons

A narrated film for each thing worth knowing, and a running record of whether each one is still true. The pages are on the internet; the films are not. They play from your own Mac, and nothing here can render, re-narrate or delete one.

What the freshness mark means. Every figure a film speaks was written into its narration manifest at the moment it was narrated. Fresh means that film's own measurement was re-run just now and every figure still matches. Stale means one moved, and the film says which one and both values. Uncheckable means nothing can verify that film, which is a different fact from it being fine, and it is never painted as fine.
What it does not mean. Only the numbers are re-measured. A sentence that has gone out of date carries no figure, and nothing here will catch it.
